I have been working as a researcher within academia since 2008, first as a PhD student, and later as a post-doctoral research associate. During this time I also spent a year writing papers full time for a research group, as well as helping out with reports, blogging, social networking, web content and press releases. I also have experience writing and editing grant applications, and writing-specific collaborations with other Cambridge institutes.
In a less technical context, I write science news for the university BlueSci magazine, and blog about biology at www.genomicsadventures.wordpress.com. I am also a semi-professional photographer, meaning that I can offer full PR revamp / publicity packages for your lab or institution – just get in touch for details.
